Notable achievements:

Harry Foster becomes World no.1 for the first time following a remarkable season where he reached the final of every singles competition he entered on both sides of the Atlantic.It's fair to say that his competitive nature is second to none.Guy Smith-Bingham moved up 4 places following his wins in the British Amateur and Open ,and only the experience of Neil Smith stopped him in New York.The biggest move in the rankings was by Tim Cockroft who moved up 21 places into the top ten for the first time since 1998.

PS.On an admin point I am still looking for confirmation of q-final results from the Western Open 2000/1,2001/202/03,US Pro 2000/1 ,2001/22/3,Canadian 2001/2 and US Open 2001/2.Whilst these results will not have any bearing on the rankings list they will definitely affect players below the top 15 so could you send any details to tim.cockroft@kbcpeelhunt.com
