Club players take center stage.
[by DM - 4 Oct 2004]
The usual suspects take part at Queens; at Harrow the winner
is likely to be paired with home Pro John Eaton, Tim Cawston from
Winchester or Steve Tulley from St Pauls.
Club players take centre stage this
weekend with both Queens and the Harrow evening club staging
tournaments. At Queen,s both singles and doubles are played off
handicap, one game matches of a maximum duration of thirty
minutes up to 25 points, take place, which always leads to very
closely fought contests. There is rarely more than a couple of
points separating players at the end of the half hour.
Among the former winners who have
enterrd are David Mayes ,Deane Pennick, robin Geffen and John
Threshie |
