Ali Robinson and Guy Barker of Marlborough the current World Doubles Champions are favoured to retain their Noel Bruce title at Queens which takes place from the 18th to the 26th of October.

They are very likely to play Harry Foster and Charlie Danby of Harrow in the final, and the Harrovians face the galling prospect of being the runners up for the 5th year in a row. In last years final the Marlburians beat the Harrovians readily in four straight games, 15/2,15/10,15/7,15/2 and did not concede a game throughout the competition.

This year they are scheduled to face Tim Cockroft and George Tysoe of Wellington in the semi final and this should provide a good contest. At the other end of the draw World Champion Harry Foster and Charlie Danby would also have to be at their best to defeat the Smith-Bingham brothers Guy and Alex [Eton1] in straight games.

The Eton pair will first have to beat John Prenn and Alaister Orchard in the 1/4 finals while Harrow 1 will find Mark Hubbard and Ben Bomford [Malvern 1] will provide a good test.
