Charlie Danby and Harry Foster Harrow on track to make it seventh time lucky Harry Foster and Charlie Danby [Harrow 1],top seeds in the Public Schools Old Boys Doubles [Noel Bruce Cup] are unlikely to face a serious challenge in this years competition until the semi finals when they are scheduled to face Eton 2 [Willie Boone and Alex Smith-Bingham]. Despite Willies ability to reinvent himself every season and Alex's steadiness, and Charlie's recent return from honeymoon Harrow should win comfortably. In the 1/4 finals they are seeded to meet Haileybury 1 [Robert Wakely and Mark Farmiloe] although they may have a tussle to get past the improving Ryan Tulley who partners Simon Shenkman [Malvern 2]. In the bottom half of the draw Malvern 1 [Mark Hubbard and Ben Bomford are seeded to meet Eton 1 [Guy Smith-Bingham and Neal Bailey] in the semi finals. Their route to the semis looks anything but straightforward as they face a match with the winners of the match between an interesting Tonbridge pairing of the brothers Spurling, John and Adrian and the Eton third pair of Michael Brookes and James Beaumont. They were beaten by Harrow 1 in last years quarters but should reach the semis. Eton 1, should have a 1/4 final against the young Wellingtonian pairing of George Tysoe and James Coyne which they will win quite readily and are unlikely to lose more than the odd game in the semi finals and despite being a new pairing will face Harrow in the umpteenth match between these two schools.
