Hopcroft, who is ranked in the top 3 in Europe for his age group at squash, went 2/7 behind in the first game but thereafter only dropped one point. Although Billings matched the winner stroke for stroke in the rallies he was never able to come to terms with the Wellingtonian's superior serving
