Harrow beat Eton in best Public Schools Final for many years
Open Doubles Championships Public Schools Doubles Eton are first seeds for this year's Public Schools Championships at Queen's Club. Hopton and Stefanowicz will most likely meet second seeds Northeast and Querl of Harrow. In an inter schools match at Eton in February Eton won four games to one,15/1,15/9,15/5,5/15,15/1. Although home court advantage counts for much, and the Harrow pair are both fierce hitters, Hopton beat Northeast in the final of the Public Schools Singles before Christmas and Eton should win a close final. Coldicott adds Canadian Amateur Title. Alex Coldicott added the 2007 Canadian Amateur Singles title to his November 2006 US Amateur crown, defeating Ben Bomford 3 games to 1 in the final.
